Do you love i-D? Do you also love books? Then do we have a treat for you! This coming Monday, to celebrate the release of The Post Truth Truth Issue — the first from our new Editor-in-Chief Alastair McKimm — i-D have made a one of a kind hardback version of the magazine.
Launching with a party at the Trading Museum in Comme Des Garçon’s Paris store, the limited edition collector’s item will feature a portrait of cover star Tyshawn Jones, shot by Mario Sorrenti and painted by artist Delfin Finley.
“To mark this new chapter and my first issue as Editor-in-Chief, I’m so pleased to present this hardback limited edition book of the September issue in Paris on Monday,” Alastair said.
“The very first image we created for the issue was the cover portrait of Tyshawn at Mario Sorrenti’s studio in Brooklyn. I’ve loved Delfin’s paintings and subject matter for some time and thought this would be the perfect collaboration. We saw it only fitting to create this hardback edition to celebrate Delfin and Mario’s work.”
Tyshawn, Mario, Delfin and Alastair will also all be in attendance at Monday’s event, on hand to sign your copy. So come along, pick one up and celebrate with us!
