Having met in Montreal, production professor Romain Hainaut and vocalist Anna Magidson began to craft sounds that sit somewhere on the spectrum of soul, electronica, hip-hop, R&B and synth-pop. With Romain’s influences springing from the strong synth lines of Daft Punk and Anna’s sweet vocals, what unfolds is a slick, glossy sound that comes across harmoniously disjointed. The Montreal-based French duo’s latest release, the Reciprocity EP, features six tracks that perfectly capture the kind of laid back night out that we all want.
