Where are you from?
Melbourne, Australia.
What do you do?
I’m sort of a pop artist entrepreneur. I think up ideas that get people excited, one experience at a time. I also make trippy films and write marketing reports. Fun.
What are you wearing from head to toe?
I’m wearing a sample limited edition merch jumper that I designed for one of my brands “Fred Hates Fashion”, a new concept fashion week show I head creative direction for, Black mesh casual track cuffed pant from YV (Yesterday’s Virgins by Alex Jon Hansen), can’t live without them, always wear black socks and a fresh pair of Nikes made from 3 materials I’m obsessed with at the moment: military-grade nylon webbing, Velcro and polysuede. Wearable tech is a very relevant interest to me right now so, fabrics
How would your friends describe you?
Lately my friends say that I’m way too busy and cool to hang with anymore. “You’ve changed”, they’d mouth fart. Others say that I’m very strange and that I’m a bit of a freak. Most say that I’m charming, a darl, street smart, a little shit, Oh, and of course, my favourite, “you just get it”. Whatever that means.
What song are you playing on repeat right now?
I have a talent for repetition and not getting sick of things. I’ve been listening Die Young by Kesha since 2012. I like Kesha a lot. I think about her a lot. I often wonder what she’s doing right now. Whether she’s brushing her teeth or something. I really want to brush my teeth right now too.
What’s the best thing about being young in 2015?
Definitely that I’m part of one of the first generations to experience speedy access to information to a well recorded history, well at least a few decades. In 2015, I have the youth, energy and opportunity. Throw into the mix free access to knowledge and perhaps a crazy imagination and now, I’ve got all I need to walk into any situation having done my research just minutes before. I’m totally armed with open source education! How exciting is that?!
What’s the best party you’ve ever been to and why was it so good?
I would put a week in Berlin up there as my best. Week of a full moon, language barriers, underground culture and a sea of naked bodies at a club called Kit Kat. Anybody who was standing next to you was both a stranger and your best friend. It was adventurous and risky and still, it had an element of safety because you were openly sharing it with open-minded people. Amongst saving the world, making one of the best parties in this city is on my top 10 list of goals, so I would love to emulate a similar magic I experienced on my own in Berlin for us here in Australia.
If you could ask the world one question and get the answer, what would you ask?
Hey girl, why does love make us go round?
