The festival started back in 1985 at Villa de Noailles, a lavish building imagined by architect Robert Mallet-Stevens on the French Riviera for Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles. In its 30th year, Chanel is the guest of honor fashion house. The jury for the Chloé fashion prize (selecting the winner from 10 young fashion designers) will be headed up by Chanel’s creative studio director, Virginie Viard, and includes designer Anthony Vaccarello, artist Joana Vasconcelos, architect India Mahdavi, fashion editor Carine Roitfeld and filmmaker Loïc Prigent.

There is also a photography prize, which will be judged by Eric Pfunder, image director at Chanel Fashion, photographer Sølve Sundsbø, and the director of Maison Européenne de la Photo in Paris, Jean Luc Monteresso. Visitors should also check out Karl Lagerfeld’s exhibition Three worlds and Villa Noailles 1995.The festival runs until April 27th.
