Everyone wishes they could spend summer on a private island, don’t they? Relaxing on golden beaches, in crystal-clear water, without a care in the world? Well, now you feasibly can. Obonjan, a private island now open to the public, situated just off Croatia’s Adriatic coast that has been uninhabited for over 10 years, is reopening its shores this summer, to become a haven for new music, food, arts and wellbeing.
From 28th July to the 6th September you can stay as little or long as you like on the island dancing to everyone from the likes of Anderson.Paak, Roy Ayers, Floating Points and Four Tet, practicing yoga, hearing talks and workshops from some of your favourite selectors, as well as feasting on some of the finest hand picked menus around the world. To top it all off, i-D are pleased to announce that we will be partnering up with Obonjan for their inaugural year, to present a one-off show with some true i-D faves. On the 8th August i-D will present Hyberdub star Jessy Lanza alongside the Ninja Tune homed, The Invisible. With the release of her new album Oh No in May, we can’t wait to showcase Jessy in the picturesque realms of the outdoor amphitheatre.
