    i-D august mixtape 2015

Still feeling down after the bank holiday weekend? Let the blues be gone as we delve into our top sound selections from the past month.

A free download courtesy of Four Tet kicks off the mixtape with an unexpected sample that tbh, we’re in love with. New offerings this month come from Mr Stiff Chocolate himself, Stormzy, who dropped a series of tracks via Soundcloud; XL Records’ Låpsley; i-D favourite Bonkaz; and a dancing delight from Grace Mitchell. We delve back into the swoon of Jamie Woon with his new cut, Sharpness, before Joe Hertz and Tirzah get us moving.

Our boy Loyle Carner continues to deliver that good stuff as he teams up with Kwes on the poetic Florence. Deep and soulful house vibes come from Atjazz on the remix tip for Boddhi Satva; Chaos In The CBD on Rhythm Section; and Belfast muscle boys Bicep & Hammer with the piano lead, Dahlia.

New hip-hop flavours from the jerky flow Jay Rock in collaboration with King Kendrick, before some free business from Miami’s the Jacuzzi Boys and smiles all round with The Garden. Bristol-based don Shanti Celeste returns with more fire on Future Sounds before even more free love from the man that keeps on giving, Mr Carmack. Bonobo remixes George Fitzgerald and Midland drops a new disco-tinged groover before we tuck into something Ice Cold from Faze Miyake.

New Travis Scott, Shakka, even more Four Tet (this time on remix duties) and Venture Lows also find their way into our August selects as we sign off with a smooth one from Spire to send us on our way as we descend into Autumn. Yep, its that time. You know what do do.
