What’s the most hedonistic party you’ve ever been to?
The first place that springs to mind is Berghain, naturally.
What’s the most phenomenal clubbing venue in the world and why?
It would be a split between Fabric in London and Subclub in Glasgow. Fabric because the set up there is just perfect and they have one of the best soundsystems in the world, and Subclub because I’ve had some incredible nights in there and the crowd are always up for it. Plus their soundsystem is sick, one of the best intimate clubs I’ve ever played in.
History is made at night, so if you could go back to back with any DJ, at any venue, who would it be and why?
I love James Murphy, every time I’ve seen him play I’ve lost track of time. He is a true selector.
What was the best night of your life?
Now that would be telling…
What’s the most debauched thing you’ve ever seen on the dance floor?
When I was younger I used to go to a lot of garage raves at Bagleys which used to be based in Kings Cross. I remember seeing a lot of naughtiness in the corners down there.
What would your dream rider consist of?
First class everything for all my best mates to travel with me everywhere, oh and champagne on tap.
What does your actual rider consist of?
Gin, tonic, limes, ice and bottles of water.
What’s your favourite party anthem of all time?
Technotronic, Pump Up The Jam
What producer are you predicting big things from this year?
Oh there are so many, I really love everything Dan Shake is putting out also The Maghreban is making some insane beats.
Where do you go when the record ends and the lights come on?
Always depends on whether the after party sounds like a vibe, if yes then i’ll be going till it’s time for bed! If not then to my bed for some trash TV.
What track would you end the night on when everyone’s still awake and its time to go to sleep?
I generally like to finish on a vocal track or something upbeat so it keeps everyone in good spirits as they leave the club, a recent favourite is Patrice Rushen, Haven’t You Heard.
What’s your party trick?
Playing the Eastenders theme tune on the piano.
Finish the sentence, the music sounds better with…
A decent soundsystem.
Moxie plays Found Presents: Born & Bred Festival in London on 6th June.
