Impossible Project – that lot who saved the production of instant film when Polaroid’s factories were all being shut down – are being awesome again. Having just launched their own camera, the I-1 Analogue Instant, they’re celebrating the release with a worldwide photo sharing mission called Project 8.
As well as inviting anybody and everybody who owns the I-1 to participate, they’re also calling on a select group of musicians, designers, photographers and artists to contribute. With the likes of Anthony Vaccarello, Emily Soto, Ellen Von Unwerth and Jack White (who’s offering is above) already selecting one of the eight briefs, the project will see all work displayed together at a London exhibition before being switched and each photo randomly posted to another artist involved to keep forever.
