Jaden Smith has revealed a dark and mysterious video for his new track Scarface. Other than posting the film on his cryptic website 490tx and Instagraming the link with a Scarface-style movie poster, there hasn’t been a lot of info on the release from Jaden.

The track is stripped back and appears to show the influence of family friend Drake, who Will Smith recently hinted he was working with on Jaden’s Beats 1 radio show, as well as Drake hinting that he is working with Willow on Instagram.

In Scarface, Jaden roams around the beautiful old town of Matera in Italy, wearing clothes from his collective MSFTSRep, a high vis police jacket and a poncho. The lyrics touch on the trappings of fame, suggesting that sitting by a pool and having a nice car are just ways to try to “make the pain go away, make the fame go away.” Jaden variously rhymes “No future” with “Lex Luthor” and “Bruce Lee” with “John F. Kennedy”, and insinuates that the government might be after him in the dramatic closing scenes.
