It’s no secret that the Pinkett-Smith clan are one of the most creative families in LA. Jaden and Willow spend hours in the recording booth together, while Jada works in front of the lens and campaigns for equality in Hollywood — and Will Smith has done it all. Given the family’s proclivity towards the arts, it’s only fair they celebrate Jada’s birthday in style.
As a 45th birthday gift to mum Jada, Jaden had custom grills made just for her. “My Moms Out Here Flexin” he tweeted with a snap of Jada wearing the brand-new gold, and she tweeted her endorsement too. We’re not surprised Jaden came through with such a incredible gift this year, given he’s made his admiration for his mother very clear. When i-D sat down with Jaden a while back, he sang Will and Jada’s praises. “I respect them so much, they’re the greatest people in the world,” he said. “They’re the people that I was put on this planet with and they have raised me to be such an amazing person.”
“When you look at life,” Jaden continued, “you can literally have whatever you want, that’s what my dad and mum always told me.” Right now, we’re hoping everyone gets a chance to feel as inspired by their nearest-and-dearest as the Smith family is.
