Pop queen Jennifer Lopez and Broadway star Lin-Manuel Miranda have teamed up to create a new track to support those affected by the Orlando shooting. J-Lo shared a 30 second video to Twitter, which shows herself and Miranda recording in the studio, as well as provides a preview of the track.
Titled “Love Make the World Go Round,” proceeds from the new song will help benefit the Somos Orlando campaign organized by local community leaders in Orlando, which will provide support for survivors and the families of the victims who have been impacted by the devastating event. The Proyecto Somos Orlando website announced they will “enable care to be delivered to those affected directly in the communities in which they live. Beyond emergency assistance, they will be provided with case management, crisis intervention, and mental health services, among other needs.”
The track doesn’t have a release date as yet, but will be available soon through iTunes.
