Jenny Slate, the star of milestone comedy Obvious Child, is making a TV pilot with Ari Gaynor. The pilot has been commissioned by American television network FX, the people behind American Horror Story and Fargo. Slate’s show will focus on female friendship and will be led by the creators of Obvious Child: director Gillian Robespierre and writer Elisabeth Holm. Or as FX have said, “like Thelma and Louise — but nobody dies.” Until a name for the project is announced, let’s just call it a very exciting and important show.
