Over her career, Kate Moss has acted as muse to and collaborated with some of the world’s greatest musicians. Since her first appearance (as a beautiful corpse) in Johnny Cash’s 1994 music video for “Delia’s Gone”, she’s worked with Elton John, Marianne Faithful, the White Stripes, Paul McCartney and Primal Scream — as both a video star and vocal guest. It’s hard to add to a list like that, but Moss has done the seemingly impossible with her appearance in Elvis Presley’s latest video.
In the new clip for “The Wonder of You,” the queen of style channels the king of rock and roll. Filmed at Abbey Road Studios, Kate’s performance feeds off archival images and video of Elvis, and is inspired by four of his most iconic looks. Most memorable among them is her take on the famous black leather suit he donned for his 1968 Comeback Special. Kate’s version is a custom made jumpsuit.
The idea to have her star in the clip came about when Vaughan Arnell of Moxie Pictures noticed a resemblance between the model and the late music icon. It’s a comparison she’s clearly flattered by, speaking about the clip she simply offered, “I was so excited to be asked to be involved in this project, anything for Elvis…”
