When the creators of Coachella announced plans to launch an East Coast version of the music festival behemoth, questions abounded. Would there be a ferris wheel? Would it be extremely expensive? Would Governors Ball be extremely annoyed? The answers are maybe, maybe, and definitely. But judging by Panorama Music Festival’s inaugural lineup, it’s going to be well worth splashing out on two massive, three-day festivals on Randall’s Island in NYC this summer.
Kendrick, LCD Soundsystem, and Arcade Fire will the headline slots when Panorama kicks off on July 22. Joining them will be The National, Sia, FKA twigs, Run the Jewels, A$AP Rocky, Bestie Boys’ Mike D, DJ Khaled, Blood Orange, and ScHoolboy Q. Kaytranda, SZA, AlunaGeorge, TOKiMONSTA, Flatbush Zombies, Ex Hex, Oh Wonder, Tourist, Tensnake, and Classixx will also be showing up at various points over the next three days.
Tickets for Panorama go on sale March 4 at 12:00 p.m. EST. They’ll set you back $369 for 3-day GA or $769 for VIP, but come with bonus entry to the Queens Museum to see “Hey! Ho! Let’s Go: Ramones and the Birth of Punk” plus the Panorama exhibition, which the festival is named after.
