It might be a cold, grey Monday morning but thankfully Kim Jones’s debut Dior Homme campaign is here to cheer us all up. Featuring the same Kaws-designed, floral sculptures that we saw at his first show for Dior Homme back in June the pink-hued photos are enough to brighten anyone’s day.
Shot by Steven Meisel, the campaign features Prince Nikolai of Denmark, who opened Kim’s debut show this summer, alongside models Valentin Caron, Romaine Dixon, Malick Bodian and Lukas G. An accompanying video was shot by Jackie Nickerson, while the whole campaign was art directed by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse, with styling by Melanie Ward, make-up by Pat McGrath, hair by Guido Palau and digital images by Annie Powers. Talk about a dream team.
Speaking to WWD about the campaign, Kim said, “I wanted the advertising to reflect the spirit of the men’s summer show and the beauty of Dior. I’ve always wanted to work with Kaws, I think he’s super chic and also his work speaks to a lot of people.”
