Can you introduce yourself?
Hey, my name is Kitty Cash, and I’m an artist, DJ and producer. I live in LA, but I’m from Brooklyn.
What made you make the change?
You know, when you’re fucking tired of everything, I think you do this weird thing where you’re like, “I can’t chop off my hair again, I can’t colour it, but I’ve got to do something that’s dramatic.” Moving was the one thing that I felt kind of nervous about, and scared to do, so I did it. I miss my family but I’ve learned a lot about myself.
What do you think your biggest personal or professional success has been so far?
When I quit my job to follow my passion and my dream. Working in music full time is literally one of the scariest things you can do, because you don’t know what the fuck is gonna happen, but it’s the best thing I’ve ever done in my life.
As we’re heading into 2020, what are you taking with you into this year, and what are you leaving behind in 2019?
All that shit that just weighs you down? I don’t want no part of it. I think sometimes there are people in your life, or even parts of yourself, that make you question your greatness, and your highest self, and all of that shit. So that’s dead. No more of that in 2020. And what am I taking with me? I’m just taking all the good energy, all the vibes, all the magic.
If you could ask Rihanna one question, what would it be?
We’re not talking about music, right? The “Where’s the album, sis?” question? No, I do have a real question for Ri – on your journey to creating the legacy that is Rihanna, what are some self-love rituals that you live by to keep you grounded and balanced, with love, life, career, family and spirituality?
What do you think she’d say?
It would be really cool to know how she balances that, and what routine she uses to manage it. And manage it in a full look, with bomb-ass skin and a fire body! We need the keys to success now, Ri! Stop keeping that shit to yourself!
