French actor Léa Seydoux has been announced as the new face of Louis Vuitton. The Palme D’Or winner (an award she nabbed in 2013 for smash hit Blue Is The Warmest Color) and Spectre Bond girl is described by the maison as a “multi-faceted woman, independent and modern,” who mixes styles and perfectly embodies the brand’s vision.
“I feel extremely proud at the thought of representing such a strong symbol of French elegance, an iconic brand whose initials are known the world over. I deeply admire Nicolas Ghesquière’s work, especially his newness. His incessant search for novelty is also highly impressive,” Seydoux says in a statement.
Seydoux’s first engagement will be to accompany creative director Nicolas Ghesquière to the Louis Vuitton for Unicef Ball on January 12, to which she will wear a custom-made creation.
