Mama Monster and Bowie superfan Lady Gaga got freshly inked last night. She chose the image of David Bowie that appears on the cover of his 1973 album Aladdin Sane.
Her new tat is fitting, as she will be performing a musical tribute to Ziggy Stardust (and the Thin White Duke, and all the other incarnations of the rock god who passed away just over a month ago) at the Grammys tomorrow night.
Gaga chose West Hollywood tattoo artist Mark Mahoney to do the work, which she then posted on Snapchat, and wrote over the piece on her left ribcage, “This was the image that changed my life.”
