The queen of rap and former i-D cover star Lil Kim is returning to the fold next year with a new album, her first in 11 years, according to a recent interview. Before stepping out as a surprise guest with Puff Daddy and Mary J Blige at the weekend, Kim sat down with Hot 97 to discuss motherhood, Christmas plans, Hilary Clinton and, most importantly, the status of her next album. “I’m working on a new album for next year. I put up a post not too long ago, I was at my old record label, so maybe. I’ve got a couple tours that I’m going to be a part of,” she reveals.
While no further information was divulged on the record, the rapper also dropped a rework of Omarion’s I’m Up entitled That Bitch yesterday, her first release since her rework of Fetty Wap’s Trap Queen back in February.
