Lil Wayne’s upcoming biography Gone ‘Til November is just weeks from release, but already, anecdotes from the book are being shared — and they’re incredible. The memoir is based on the extensive diary entries Wayne wrote while incarcerated on Riker’s Island in 2010.
Page Six has revealed that during his time in prison the rapper actually officiated a wedding between two fellow inmates. We’re pleased, but somehow not surprised, to learn that Wayne is officially a celebrant. Apparently, that’s not his only skill: he also helped decorate the hall they were married in with toilet paper. When the pair were declared husband and husband everyone toasted with Gatorade. “Gatorade is liquid gold in this bitch,” Wayne wrote. “Imagine seeing grown-ass men in jail hanging tissue for wedding decorations. AND one of them is Lil Wayne. Crazy.”
Gone ‘Til November will be published October 11th.
