After teasing it for the past two days, Justin Bieber just released Friends, a synth-heavy pop banger to see out the summer to. The lead single from his forthcoming fifth album comes with artwork of two birds fighting over a worm (¯_(ツ)_/¯) and revolves around the most stupid question of any failed relationship, “Can we still be friends?” No, you idiot. We broke up for a reason and to keep on seeing each other would just prolong the suffering and prevent anyone from truly moving on. Seriously, have you learnt nothing from your string of much-obsessed over relationships?
Friends was written by Biebs with a little help from music pals Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, and BloodPop, who also produced the track. Team effort. That artwork though.
