Today the Cob Gallery invites you to step inside the dreamlike world of still life photographer and founder of bimonthly Ocean Views photo zine, Lorena Lohr. Following on from her presentation at the Rochelle School, in December 2013, and intimate displays in and around London’s thriving underground art scene, Ocean Sands showcases a selection of new and exciting prints that document the seedy underbelly of life on the road and the loneliness it instills. For her first solo show, the gallery space has been transformed into conceptual travel diary; desert landscapes, taken from her travels through the American South West, cut through candy coloured images of exotic cocktails, motel bathrooms, and the leather seating of deserted bars, along with bleached out images of London at night. Lohr has previously shot for Hot and Cool magazine.
