During a time where the price of plane tickets are comparable to Uber fares, it’s easy to forget how exciting flying once was. As kids, nothing seemed as sophisticated as boarding a plane. HTMLflowers had this in mind when making this mix, one half of Lossless he explained to i-D: “I grew up real poor and when I first started touring I was so hyped on flying. It was so luxurious, looking out the window I’d never seen the sky like that, it meant I wasn’t going to stay broke and stuck in one place like generations of my family had.”

Unfortunately, after spending so much of his adult life crammed into economy seats the romance has somewhat faded. Rather than being lost in wonder, he joins the rest of us in being lost in airport drinks. “I get drunk when I fly now. Fuck airports, fuck airplanes, fuck the sky. I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, but I need vodka in my Sprite and a good mix in my headphones if I’m gonna catch that plane.”
