After a private and sumptuous opening of the Louis Vuitton Foundation on 20th October, visitors had access to the magnificent new building, 13,500m2 of glass, designed by architect Frank Gehry, next to Jardin d’Acclimatation to the west of Paris. The space started off with an exhibition dedicated to the American architect himself, as well as Accrochage 1, which featured works by Pierre Huygue, Gerhard Richter, Christian Boltanski or Bertrand Lavier.

Today, the second chapter starts with the opening of Contact, Danish artist Olafur Eliasson’s exhibition. Four installations concentrate on a cosmos journey with special guests: the meteorites.

Taking place at the upper-level and opening today too, Accrochage 2 reunites works by German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans, dolls by French artist Annette Messager and Charlie Don’t Surf, a 1997 tribute sculpture to Apocalypse Now, by Italian Maurizio Catalan. Visitors can also admire rare sculptures by Alberto Giacometti and Us Dead Talk Love, an installation by British artist Ed Atkins featuring a song from Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.
