Mysterious singer Sia and dancing phenomenon Maddie Ziegler have reunited for a fourth time, as the teen queen stars in the Australian singer’s brand new video for Cheap Thrills – the latest hit off her seventh studio album, This Is Acting, originally written for Rihanna.Donning her trademark black and white bobbed wig, and nude leotard, Maddie leaps, twirls and twists all over the place while Sia sings in the background.
“Maddie’s the most professional person I’ve ever worked with,” Sia told i-D last year. “So astute, so gifted, and an incredible channel. I love her dearly.” Co-directed by regular Daniel Askill and choreographed by Ryan Heffington, the video is visually and conceptually in keeping with Sia’s earlier works – Chandelier, Elastic Heart, and Big Girls Cry. However what the video lacks in terms of a topless Shia Le Boeuf, it makes up for by including two male dancers, in matching nude leotards and dyed black and white hair. So it’s all good in the end.
