Congratulations are in order! Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Prize winner and inimitable activist, has been accepted into the UK’s Oxford University. From September, Malala will study Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). Previous graduates of the course include the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, and former UK Prime Minister David Cameron.

Yesterday the 20-year-old tweeted “so excited to go to Oxford!!” after acing her A-levels. The Pakistani activist took the exam in history, math, geography and religious studies. She added that the admissions interview was the hardest of her life, though given Malala’s track record of total fearlessness we imagine she breezed through it despite the nerves.

In 2011, a Taliban gunman shot Malala in the head for supporting young girls’ rights to an education. Malala was just 17-years-old at the time. She relocated to Birmingham to receive treatment, and went on to study at Edgbaston high school. In 2014, she received the Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts in advocating for equal rights for children’s education — the youngest ever recipient of the award.

With her unmatched bravery, there’s no doubting Malala will be the model student — and then some.
