Matches have long been a go-to spot for the best of menswear, be that online or in-store. Now the group are bringing out their own collection of contemporary menswear, which treads the line between familiar sports and tailoring pieces, but with experimentation in fabrications and fit. “We want the collection to feel easy, relaxed, and light, and to provide a foundation for us to build on over the coming seasons,’ said Rachael Proud, Creative Director, and formerly design director at Christopher Kane.
There’s a slouchy luxury to the whole thing (oh, the joys of lounging round in their cashmere tracksuit), and much as you can get a white cotton tee or a grey classic grey sweater, you can also opt for the navy boiler suit or the frayed turn-up jeans. Colours range from navy to yellow, ivory to grey and as well as the abundance of cashmere, there’s bonded silk and linen and suede.
A selection of the collection is already available to buy at matchesfashion.com with the rest of the pieces coming soon.
