miss piggy and kermit recreate adele’s hello

The American Music Awards took place last night, and besides One Direction picking up Artist of the Year and Taylor Swift snagging Favourite Album, the night’s highlight must surely have been Miss Piggy doing a turn as Adele in a recreation of the Hello video. The serious, sentimental Xavier Dolan directed original gets sent up in a spoof that sees Miss Piggy choke on a mouthful of leaves and “Kermie” get his lil cheeks squished by her gloved and bejewelled trotters (as well as a kettle and keyboard lobbed at him in a signature Miss Piggy fit of pique). Our favourite point probably comes at 0.24 when Miss Piggy’s whole body shakes as she delivers the emotional crescendo of the track. Knowing Adele’s infamous cackle, we’re sure the singer is fully on board with this loving piss take.
