Naomi Campbell has become the latest A-lister to check into American Horror Story: Hotel. Following her recurring role in Empire earlier this year, Campbell will appear in several episodes of the darkly comic TV series as “a fashion editor who pays the ultimate price for her critiques,” TVLine has learned.
Campbell’s role will apparently involve scenes in which she goes head-to-head with Lady Gaga’s equally stylish character, who was introduced in an intriguing recent teaser clip for the series. Campbell will also share screen time with American Horror Story regular Angela Bassett, who is returning for the new season in an unknown role.
The names of Campbell and Gaga’s AHS characters have yet to be revealed, and the show’s co-creator Ryan Murphy, who also masterminded Glee, has yet to give away any major plot details. Whatever the premise, the pair certainly have an impressive roll call of castmates to bounce off: Chloë Sevigny, Emma Roberts, Sarah Paulson and Cheyenne Jackson have also signed up to appear in American Horror Story: Hotel, which is set to premiere on US cable network FX this October.
