We been knew that Normani is a superstar. Whether it was her “Motivation” music video, perhaps 2019’s only example of pop perfection, or her homage to Janet Jackson, it’s become very apparent that this is Normani’s world and we just live in it. Rihanna seems to be on the same page as us. During her electric 2019 Savage x Fenty show (streaming now on Amazon Prime, fyi), she asked Normani to appear in a choreographed segment in which the former Fifth Harmony star served it up to Sean Paul’s “Get Busy” in RiRi’s latest lingerie collection.
Clearly Normani impressed, as it was just announced that she’s been made the first brand ambassador for Rihanna’s lingerie brand. She’s also shot its holiday campaign, and ladies, we’re eating good this Christmas. The shots are stunning and Normani is a goddess.
“I want all individuals to feel empowered and to embrace who they truly are,” Normani wrote on Instagram. “I don’t always wake up feeling the most confident and powerful, but trust and believe having my Savage x on always helps!”
Rihanna also commented, “Welcome to the family sis! Honored to have you!!”
Of course, Normani is still very much a popstar as well as a model (she’s busy)! Speaking to Vogue, the 23-year-old confirmed that her long-awaited debut album would be dropping in 2020.
“I’m really excited for my fans to hear it because they’ve been very patient with me and they’ve been there since the beginning of my journey—and my new fans too,” she said. “I’ve been using these new [writing] sessions as therapy and as an opportunity for me to know myself in a different way. I can’t wait for everybody else to be able to tap into that and get to know the real me.”
We can’t wait either.
