Apply to… The Bottega Veneta school

Where in the world could be better to hone your sartorial skills than under the watchful gaze of the master artisans crafting Bottega Veneta’s famed leather goods? Well, the Italian house have launched Bottega Veneta Academia Labor et Ingenium, a school dedicated to — as the Latin in the name suggests — craft and creativity. What’s more, graduates of the school will be guaranteed a job within their renowned atelier too!

Based between the Bottega Veneta atelier in Montebello Vicentino and their manufacturing site in Povolaro Dueville, a permanent workshop has been built where five artisans will train 50 students per year, as well as the house’s employees and new hires looking to upskill, on the art of Bottega Veneta — the wisdom and expertise of one generation being passed on to the next. For now, the school is running an external collaboration with the Università Iuav di Venezia, with eight talented students taking part in a bespoke seven week masterclass. However, keep the Bottega Veneta website bookmarked for more details on how you can apply to learn from some of the very best in Italian craftsmanship.

    Listen to… Kaeto

A maker of relentless and confrontational pop music, Scottish newcomer Kaeto bursts through the industry gates with a song that sounds like it was made outside of it. “No Body”, about the lure and lethalness of vanity, may be the most commanding new artist statement we’ve heard all year. Stream the new track above and follow her Instagram here.

    Watch… It Lives Inside

Brought to you by the same team that made Get Out, and distributed in the US by cult distributor Neon (Parasite, Infinity Pool), this new horror follows a high school girl trying desperately to fit in by rejecting her Indian heritage. But when her best friend gets possessed by a demon, she has to lean into the same thing she’s trying to abscond in order to save her. It’s in UK cinemas from 20 October.
