Nearly two decades (how!) since she originally graced our screens with seminal classic The Simple Life, along with then BFF Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton is back with a new reality show. The Y2K bimbo queen is working on a new, very romantic reality return.
Paris in Love, a 13-part ‘docu-series’, will follow Paris Hilton as she stops being Miss Paris Hilton and instead becomes Mrs Paris Reum. Or maybe she’ll keep her name (she should, it’s iconic). Either way, the show will follow the DJ and recent TikTok convert in the run-up to her marriage to venture capitalist fiancée Carter Reum.
Audiences who fell in love with the overprivileged, ditsy and seldom relatable hotel heiress during her noughties reality TV tenure will get to enjoy Paris shopping for wedding dresses, designing her dream destination wedding, and attending a hen do ominously referred to as “what certainly will be a fun and crazy bachelorette party”. Maybe less penis straws and Spoons cocktails, and more luxurious debauchery on a private island?
The show, commissioned by NBC streamer Peacock (us neither), promises to give viewers an “entertaining and emotional” journey through Paris’s marital preparations all the way up to the big day itself. Very second wedding Kim Kardashian vibes. “Viewers will be along for an entertaining and emotional ride and will witness a personal side of Paris that only her closest friends and family get to see.”
We don’t know yet when the series will drop, but until it does, at least we can get plenty of Paris over on TikTok, where she shows off her extravagant closet and debunks that stubborn rumour that she once wore a tank top telling people to “stop being poor”. Hot.
