When Dutch streetwear brand Patta wanted to celebrate 10 years in the business, they decided to do it with good friends, calling on their pals at Carhartt WIP to work together on a collaboration. The capsule collection, Wild At Hartt, is in stores from today and features classic Carhartt clobber, such as the Chore Coat, the Active Jacket and the double Knee Pant. The logo prints add a graphic crispness to hoodies and the Watch Hat is instantly recognisable
Patta’s co-founder Gee and creative director Vincent Van de Waal told i-D, “We love and respect Carhartt WIP and I’m happy and proud of the result. We worked around what we like with Carhartt WIP; worked with their brand staples and gave them some Patta attitude.”
So what did they learn from Carhartt? “Professionalism! They gave us space to say what we like and they really respected what we thought was right, no restrictions. It was bliss. The spirit of the collection is respect for the past and the core of the brand, but with an eye on the future. The future is where it’s at.”
