Peaches has shared the latest video installment of her Rub album campaign. Self-directed and featuring choreography from Filipino dancer Eisa Jocson, the visuals for “How You Like My Cut” are based on a form of exotic dancing performed in the Philippines. This video marks the first time the Canadian artist does not appear in one of her own music promos, describing it herself as a “more quiet, sensual Peaches video.”
“I first saw Eisa Jocson perform ‘Macho Dancer’ as a much longer and more involved piece for a dance festival in Berlin,” she continues. “Eisa recreates the male exotic dancing that happens in the Philippines only by Filipino men performed in nightclubs primarily for the enjoyment of women. I was struck by how androgynous and delicate this gender-specific dance is interpreted.” Check out the clip, below.
