As they say when, one door closes another one opens. Earlier this month, Peter Dundas presented his final collection for the Italian fashion house, Emilio Pucci, where he’s been since 2008. Now the superstar designer, who has previously worked for Christian Lacroix and Emmanuel Ungaro, is taking the reigns at Roberto Cavalli as creative director of the Italian designer’s iconic brand. Famed for its bold prints and overall sense of sexy hedonistic glamour, it won’t be a massive leap from the bright colors and geometric prints that made Pucci so iconic in the 70s.

Dundas, who worked under the Cavalli House from 02-05, told Vogue today: “This is a homecoming for me… It’s an honor for me to continue to evolve the wonderful world of Roberto Cavalli and I am very excited by the possibilities and potential of this unique brand. I cannot wait to get started.” With his inaugural collection set to launch for spring/summer 16, all eyes will be firmly on Dundas this September!
