Cakes Da Killa has just shared a sweet, thumping taste of his upcoming debut LP, Hedonism. The tune is called Up Out My Face, and features pop provocateur Peaches. The two alt icons share the space on the track well, warning haters to step back. Mykki Blanco collaborator Jeremiah Meece handled the production.

In conversation with BULLETT earlier this month, Cakes opened up about the songwriting process. Explaining that he preferrers to work URL, not IRL, he said, “Basically we’d send each other emails back-and-forth, and communicate about the song’s theme.” Reflecting, “We do a lot of shows together, but it wasn’t us sitting in the studio. I think that can be kind of boring. For a lot of artists, linking up could be organic, but for me, I need my own space to work.” He’s not the only one — Zayn and M.I.A wrote their tune Freedunover What’s App. Listen to Up Out My Face below.
