Charlie Fieber (aka Fracture) has been a staple in the world of drum and bass since the early 00s. Working with Nelson Bayomy as Fracture & Neptune, his label Astrophonica has an output of music that gives a nod to the 90s aesthetics of drum and bass while still keeping firmly rooted in modern sounds.
Another imprint that Fracture is closely linked with is dBridge’s legendary Exit Records, a label that has released tunes from the likes of Break, Instra:mental, Synkro and even Goldie. This week, Exit will release Fracture’s follow-up to 2014’s Loving Touch, Hype Tracks. The forthcoming EP features Fracture’s continued exploration of BPMs and sound palettes, from jungle and drum & bass to footwork. Taken from Hype Tracks, “Acid Claps” sees the producer team up with DJ Spinn & Taso from the legendary Teklife family on this acid laced, jungle-cum-footwork banger.
The Hype Tracks EP is out February 5 via Exit Records. Buy it here.
