If the collaboration between Submotion Orchestra and Andrew Ashong wasn’t enough, Pedestrian has stepped in on remix duties and the result is not to be taken lightly. Originally released as part of Submotion’s new album Color Theory, the Maribou State collaborator and Dama Dama co-founder has flipped airy original into a deep and evocative 2-step cut.
Pedestrian’s production skills set the track alight. Punchy percussive drums, moody synth lines, and meditative, quivering bass notes lie underneath Ashong’s copped vocal that turn the track into one of our favorite Pedestrian remixes to date.
Due out May 20 alongside huge remixes from Mr Scruff, Eliphino and Church’s Seb Wildblood and more, press play on the exclusive i-D premiere.
