Wish you’d been around to dress up like a new romantic or dancing art project in the counter culture clubs of the 80s? Tonight you can live vicariously in that era through the memories and anecdotes of one of the scene’s most vibrant characters, i-D culture correspondent and original Blitz Kid Princess Julia.
Archivist, publisher and co-founder of Theme arts house, Laurence Johns has invited Princess Julia to The Proud Archivist in east London tonight to read from her upcoming autobiography, and to discuss the birth of the Blitz scene and its influence on contemporary culture. Make sure you dress the part!
Blitz Kids & Blitz Club: Shaping the 80s is at The Proud Archivist at 7pm on Wednesday 27th May. Tickets are £8, including a free drink.
