What’s black, white, and colorful all over? Creative Director Christopher Simmonds and superstar stylist Francesca Burns’s brand new publication PRINT. See, told you it wasn’t dead! Comprising the work of pretty much all the coolest cats around — from John Waters and Frank Ocean to Angelo Pennetta and Harley Weir — it’s the definitive tome of the year. And it’s been released just in time to nab as a last minute xmas prezzie for that special someone.

Spanning 400 pages, PRINT is a collection of mind-blowing images, eclectic conversations, posters, postcards, and pins — all bound with a green rubber band and packaged in a brown box. What’s not to love? But hurry, there’s only 1,000 copies in existence, so get down to IDEA Books pronto. In the meantime, here are some wise words from Christopher and Fran.

    What’s the idea behind PRINT?
We wanted to create a bespoke publication that felt visually optimistic and personal — a celebration of printed matter and something that can be cherished and not disposable.

    Why the name?
    It’s to the point.

    Why now?
    Why not?

What do you want readers to take away from it?
    A smile.

What was it like working together?
    Great.

What are you most proud of inside it?
    Every single thing.

What was the greatest challenge putting it together?
Waiting for it to come back from the printer. Wondering if it was ever going to come back from the printer.

What do you think is the future of print? Is it dead?
Print is a unique and special medium. It is very much alive.

    What’s next for you guys?
We are working on Issue 2 and another special project which we can share more about in the New Year.
