If your house isn’t starting to look like a gallery, you’ve clearly missed out on some incredible fundraising print sales. Whether it was to support Covid-19 relief, or to provide financial assistance to help bail contributions and organisations fighting social injustice — the creative community have really rallied around some good causes over the last few months. The latest philanthropic creative venture is Reframing the Future, a print-sale fundraiser created by a group of creatives united by their common goal of becoming stronger allies to the Black Lives Matter movement. Its founders believe that confronting white supremacy cannot be achieved without a commitment to honesty, accountability and direct action.

To that end, over 50 photographers — including i-D favourites Ekua King, Kyle Weeks, Markn, Sabrina Santiago, Camila Falquez and Joyce Ng, among many others — have submitted their work for sale, with all proceeds going to two Black-led social justice organisations.

Proceeds from the sales of the work will be split between two charities. One of them is The Marsha P. Johnson Institute, named after the Black transgender activist, which aims to protect and defend the human rights of Black trans people. The foundation does so by organising, advocating and creating a community to heal, develop transformative leadership, and promote Black trans people’s collective power. The other is The National Bail Out collective; a Black-led and Black-centred collective of abolitionist organisers, lawyers and activists who are building a community-based movement to support Black people and end systems of pre-trial detention and mass incarceration.

All of the works will be available to purchase on Reframing the Future from now until 30 June. Prints range from $25 to $100 USD.
