When you’ve got something big to advertise you’d better get in Bad Gal Riri. In preparation for three of its biggest events of the year – Super Bowl 50, The 58th Annual Grammy Awards, and a live edition of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert – CBS has pulled out all the stops with a spanking new and charmingly random commercial, featuring the Bitch Better Have My Money singer. Released on Saturday, the clip shows Riri strutting across a field in a gold slip of a dress, where she engages NFL sportscasters Jim Nantz, James Brown and Phil Simms in a coin toss, refereed by Stephen Colbert. “We go first,” says Nantz. “I’m worth the wait,” responds the Bajan beauty, in what is probably a cheeky nod to the fact we’ve been waiting, like, forever, for her upcoming album, ANTI. With Super Bowl 50 airing on February 7th, with halftime performances from Coldplay and Queen Bey, followed by the live edition of The Late Show, and finally The Grammys on February 15th, it’s set to be a very exciting month for CBS.
