This afternoon David Bowie‘s official Facebook and Twitter pages announced that the legendary artist and musician had passed away after an 18 month cancer battle. He was reportedly surrounded by his family.
Last week, Bowie celebrated his 69th birthday, and the release of his 25th studio album Blackstar. Both events had fans and critics lauding his untouchable ability to remain eternally relevant and timeless.

For the past five decades David Bowie was unparalleled as a musical, artistic, and pop culture icon. So when faced with news this sad and sudden, it feels like all you can do is leave the last word with the great man himself.
