What do you do?
I’m a designer, DJ and founder of Little Burro restaurant.
What are you wearing?
My pants are from a fashion label I created a few years back called Needle Workers Union. The shirt is from a local artist/design label called Start From Zero.
What’s the best thing about working in Hong Kong?
It’s a very accessible city. Everyone is willing to help out. Even if they are not in your industry, they always know someone interested in your project. People in Hong Kong to love connect. I’ve never been in a city with such a sense of professional community.
Got any tourist tips?
My favourite hangouts tend to be my friends restaurants and bars, as well as the clubs I DJ at. For food, Stone Nullah tavern, Little Bao, and of course Little Burro.
Tell us a cantonese phrase you’ve learnt and what it means.
手停口停 (Sau Teng Hau Teng)— which means, “If your hand stops moving, your mouth stops moving.” I think it’s fitting for Hong Kong. Nothing’s going to be handed to you, so you need to keep grinding.
