i-D Mix returns to East London to celebrate the launch of i-D’s inaugural Music Issue. For 35 years, i-D has championed some of the finest up and coming and established acts from across the musical spectrum – racking up iconic covers with the likes of Madonna, Bjork, Aaliyah and Beyonce along the way. Now we’re turning up the volume on the pop stars, rock stars, rappers and DJs coming out of London and rocking our world.
Taking place at Shapes, Hackney on Thursday 5th February, we enter the rebirth of i-D Mix with our featured Class of 2015. With a sense of style as individual as her songwriting, Denai Moore is one of music’s most intriguing newcomers and it’s a real pleasure to introduce her to the mix. Also performing live is rap’s hottest new star and i-D favourite, Little Simz. Taking himself down a new path with Australian purveyors of fine music, Future Classic, we welcome Karma Kid to the mix family too, for an extra special DJ set. As if that wasn’t already enough, we also have two very special, yet-to-be announced guests performing live!
We’ve also invited ultimate party starters, The Menendez Brothers to lay down their unique blend of hip-hop, house and disco. We’ll see you down the front!
