Drag superstar RuPaul is coming to London to find “the fiercest, twisted sister” to be their UK RuPaul’s Drag Race Ambassador in an all-star live show. In a plastic fantastic video, where you’ll be blinded by the whiteness of Ru’s teeth and be reminded where Kim K learnt her contouring, she says, “This is your chance to be part of my British invasion…but to get your hands on this prize, you’re going to have to work it…I wanna see you lip synch for your life to one of my songs. I’ll be watching, so don’t fuck it up!” The contest has been launched by truTV as part of their UK airing of RuPaul’s Drag Race and its Untucked spin-off, starting with Season 4 on 1st June.
There’ll be a live London battle between 20 finalists, before Ru and a panel of celebrity judges (Ariana Grande, Mel B and John Waters are all lined up for season 8 of the US show, so expect big things). The winner will then be sent to LA with a friend to experience all the backstage antics. As always, Ru is looking for total and utter C.U.N.T. That’s Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent!
