Sibling’s message this season seems to be: “Give the world a little disco.”
The dazzling show was full of sparkly lurex treats and jazzed-up rompers slashed to the waist and paint-splashed column dresses. Sibling is pioneering all sorts of innovative techniques, such as knit-raffia trim, and there were also giant snoods lovingly needle punched by hand.
When i-D spoke to Cozette McCreery and Sid Bryan, Sid explained how they came up with the idea of knitting raffia pieces into fabric. It’s an instinctual thing it seems, experimental and surprising, creating new forms of shape, texture, and adornment. Sibling’s devoted team is just as excited about what comes out of the house as we are.
Sibling strikes the balance between creating showstopper numbers and total wearability. Pull on their black-glitter-leopard swaterdress with a sexy split and go anywhere, anytime. Strike an attitude in a sexy disco space alien catsuit topped off with quirky knitted headphones.
