Solange has shared two celestial-themed merchandise drops, named “Orion’s Rise” and “Cosmic Journey” respectively. The pair of collections was spurred by the artist’s astronomical infatuation, continuing on her decidedly celestial aesthetic.
The t-shirts, crewnecks, tote bags and posters are available to nab on her official website’s store. Products range from $30-$70 and most are available in black, white and muted greys.
A more down to earth shirt reads, “(bite the hand)” in a minute typeface, a quote from New York Times journalist Jon Caramanica, who believed Solange should have been more conscious of the white males in her fanbase: “I went to Solange’s concert and I noted who her audience was, and if I were her… I’d be careful not to bite the hand that feeds me.” The artist also used the bizarre exchange as inspiration for the title of her 2016 album, A Seat At the Table.
These new items won’t be orbiting around Solange’s Saint Heron website for long — she plans to pull them as soon as Mercury is no longer in retrograde.
