Where are you from?
Emma: Brisbane.
Ally: Brisbane.
What do you do?
Emma: I study cosmetic medicine and dermal science and create electronic music.
Ally: I’m in my final year of studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film, TV and New Media Production) and am a freelance filmmaker and photographer.
What are you wearing from head to toe?
Emma: My sneakers are Tubular Defiants by Adidas. The jeans appeared in my closet from an unknown source under mysterious circumstances. The turtleneck has been shipped in bulk from Asos, and the gold chain is my mums.
Ally: Comme des Garçon pants, Uniqlo t-shirt and Raf Simons x Adidas Sneakers.
What are you listening to on repeat right now?
Emma: I’ve been having a real good time spinning Eurythmics greatest hits, literally right now. A treat for the senses.
Ally: Life of Pause by Wild Nothing and Come On by Sunflower Bean.
Where would you take us during the day if we came to visit you in your city? And when night falls?
Emma: During the sunlit hours, I would certainly take you into West End for Bahn Mi and a meander through Junky Comics/Jet Black Cat. Then it’s into the BWS for a six pack of beers on the green overlooking the city. When night falls, I would take you to the Foundry for sure. Well priced beers, mates and local music. A total treat.
Ally: Start our day off with coffee at King Arthur cafe, a bush walk and swim at Cedar Creek or the APT8 exhibition at GoMA or both. Then live music at night!
If you could ask the world one question and get the answer, what would you ask?
Emma: What the heck do little dogs dream about?
Ally: Why are there more odd socks in my wardrobe than matching ones?
What’s the best thing about being young in 2016?
Emma: I do feel that being young in 2016 presents you with a huge amount of creative inspiration, and drive to pursue your passions. That’s a luxury that generations before us did not chase. They ran for career prospects, while we run to catch up to our dreams.
Ally: The chance for opportunity!
Where are you from?
Both: Brisbane

Blair: Seller of soaps by day, maker of things by night.
Alec: I’m studying Architecture and run a small design studio with some pals.
What are you wearing from head to toe?
Blair: My friend’s family owns an apartment at the coast, and in one of their old closets I found her mum’s old netball jackets from the 80s. The shorts are just from target.
Alec: I’m wearing a gold jumpsuit by EMERGENCY and my grandma’s yellow hand knitted angora cardigan. The boots are made of brown buffalo leather and I got them from an artisan at Woodford Folk Festival.
What are you listening to on repeat right now?
Blair: Useful Chamber by The Dirty Projectors.
Alec: A few old Donna Summer classics and the Soulwax remix of Let It Happen by Tame Impala.
Where would you take us during the day if we came to visit you in your city? And when night falls?
Blair: I’d take you to Wellington Point for a cheeky beer and greasy bag of fish and chips, swim in the shallows and a walk across sand bank to King Island. When night falls we’d set up camp there for the night, and watch the tide rise over our bridge back to the land.
Alec: We’d go for a wander through the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens and then head to my lush, leafy back yard for beer and tacos. As it gets dark we’d set up a projector and watch something fun, then head out to one of the local venues for a boogie!
If you could ask the world one question and get the answer, what would you ask?
Blair: Why are minions a thing?
Alec: Where can I find the world’s most ultimate burrito?
What’s the best thing about being young in 2016?
Blair: Instant gratification.

Jarrod: There’s a heap of dinghies tied up on the shore of Kangaroo Point. We’d go sit in one of them on the river for a bit. The view of the high-rise buildings, all lit up, towering over across the water is pretty special.
Anastasia: Shady Mangoes (the name for the barn in my backyard)
If you could ask the world one question and get the answer, what would you ask?
Jarrod: Why did that tradie just lol at me on the street? (there’s actually no respectable answer).
