Do you know that the Lacoste Crocodile isn’t even a crocodile? Well, obviously it is, but the icon actually came from co-founder and legendary tennis player René Lacoste’s nickname, Alligator. In 1933, Lacoste and fellow founder André Gillier designed the little logo based on that, and the rest is sports-casual history. So now you know, courtesy of the heads at Supreme, who’ve sent i-D an exclusive snap of their fresh new Lacoste collab.
The collection features the dreamy black Harrington jacket that you saw first here on i-D, plus the red and white tracksuit and cricket pullover styles already packing out your social feeds. There are also fleecey sweatshirts with a big embossed logo on the front, and zips-ups, polos, short shorts, and caps.
Get your hands on the collab in-store in London, Paris, NY, LA, and online this Thursday March 16, and then in Japan on Saturday March 18.
